Build A Business Not A Web Site!

Your Business Might Be Failing - Why Is That?

There are many reasons why your business might be failing. In fact, there is a huge percentage of web businesses that do fail. The failure rate for new web businesses is 98%.

Here are several reasons that your web venture might be heading for failure. Use these tips to help bring your business back to life.

1. You don't have your own domain name. This is a no brainer and as basic as it gets. Free web hosting looks cheap. Don’t use it.

2. You don't offer free original content. Link sites and copycat MLM sites don’t get good search engine placement.

3. You don't use a signature file, with links, on your e-mails.

4. You don't offer free software.

5. You don't offer a free contest or sweepstakes.

6. You don't test and improve your ad copy. Constantly improve your ad copy. If it’s not working, tweak it until it does!

7. You don't offer a free web site directory.

8. You don't give people any urgency to buy now. You must ask for the sale. How motivated do you think your customers are? Give them a reason to buy.

9. You don't offer a free e-zine. Keep in contact with your customers.

10. You don't attract the target audience that would buy your product or service. Traffic exchanges and sites that are nothing but links don’t attract targeted traffic. Stay away from putting your site link on them.

11. You don't offer a free community.

12. You don't make people feel safe and secure when they order. Reassure your customers that their personal information will be safe when they order from you.

13 You don't let people read your ad before they get your freebie.

14. You don't offer a free affiliate program.

15. You don't make your web site look professional. Although this isn’t as important as it used to be, the aesthetics of your site does matter. Give your visitors a hassle free surfing experience, don’t make them look for your order page.

16. You don't offer a free online service.

17. You don't give people as many ordering options as possible.

18. You don't offer free current information. You need to update your site frequently.

19. You don't offer free samples of your product or service.

20. You don't let people know anything about your business. How many business web sites have you run across and you don’t have a clue as to what they do? Don’t do this to your customers!

Running a web business is a very doable opportunity as long as you follow these guidelines, serve your customer and you have a product or service that is in demand.

To your business success!
