I see so many people that don't know how to correctly use articles to market their business on the internet. One of the biggest mistakes made is writers not putting in links correctly in their articles or in the bylines at the end.
If you are going to put a link in your articles you need to use anchor text to count towards your search engine optimization (SEO).
Some article directories don't allow text links in your article body, but almost every article directory allows text links in your author byline.
To correctly add links to your articles or byline use the <a href tag and use a descriptive keyword phrase for to describe your link.
For instance if you have a web site that sells car widgets, don't just put your url www.carwidgets.com in the article, make a link that says car widgets that points to your url.
