EcoQuest International Review as a Business Opportunity
EcoQuest International manufactures air purification systems such as the Fresh Air by EcoQuest and the Living Air Classic, water purification systems, and nutritional products as well as other healthy living technology products. They are based in Greeneville Tennessee and have been in business since 1986.
Bill Converse started the company known as Alpine Industries in 1986 and invented the widely popular ozone based air purification technology in use today. Under Converse's leadership Alpine Industries sold over 4 million of its Living Air Classic style air purification systems up through January of 2000.
In January 2000 Mike Jackson bought the exclusive rights to Alpine Industries and started EcoQuest. EcoQuest then ran into trouble with the FTC because of making unsubstantiated claims about its products.
In reality these claims came from a few distributors but the company had to bear the brunt of the burden. They have since cleared up any problems with the FTC.
Most recently EcoQuest was given the opportunity to help the Pentagon with several thousand dollars in donations of air purification systems following the events of September 11. Also, in a joint effort with EcoQuest's network of distributors, the company donated over 200 air purification units, one to every fire station in New York City.
You may have heard their advertisements for air purifiers on the radio during such programs as the Dr Laura Schlessinger show and Bill Handel.
EcoQuest produces quality air purification systems and is a fine opportunity for those interested in multi level marketing but they, are not friendly to those interested internet marketing. They keep a tight reign on their distributors and how they allow them to market on the web.
I wouldn't recommend EcoQuest as an opportunity unless you are completely dedicated to the MLM way of doing business. It is a business where you have to depend way to much on what other people do. If you are going to do it, be prepared to work like you never have before.
One of the best business opportunities available today instead of getting into a network marketing business like EcoQuest is to build a web business.
