This won't be your typical e mail newsletter. Sorry, it won't be brimming with tips and tricks to make your bank account overflow with cash or your web statistics increase exponentially.
What it will be, is a lighthearted, sometimes irreverent look at working in the corporate world and why you must, you have to, with every ounce of energy you can muster, get out of your present job situation and start working from home.
Let's face it, it's been said a million times, you will never get rich or achieve financial independence working for someone else. That just isn't going to happen.
You must have your own business...
This e-mail newsletter will discuss several different options for starting a home based business and of course poke fun at those who are unfortunate to be stuck in the corporate or job maze.
You know how that goes, corporate speak, the endless meetings - co-workers that just won't stop talking, the totally off topic questions that extend the meeting into what seems like eternity, etc., etc., etc.
Then there are budget issues, department rivalries, the sales dept. promising customers the world and on and on. The last job I held as a graphic artist for a publishing company, I used to say, "We manage to make money in spite of ourselves."
I'm not quite sure how that happened, but it did!?
An engineer friend of mine works for a company that was recently bought out by another company. To motivate the troops, the suits from the new company came in and laid off 25% of the workforce, installed a time clock, reduced lunch time for the non-salaried workers to 20 minutes and took away one of their breaks.
They also instituted strict time schedule guidelines for the salaried employees. My engineer friend must now take his lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., regardless of what he's working on.
Do you think the employees at this company are going to more productive or less productive?
I wish they would hire me so I could come in and quit the next day. I guess the suits for this company failed to take classes on employee morale in college...oh that's right, they don't teach that in college.
Thank God I don't work for corporate America anymore.
Haven't you had about enough of this?
