Work At Home Times, Issue #001 -- Go Home Now! December 15, 2004 |
|
The Work At Home Times Thanks for subscribing to the Work At Home Times. This is the first issue...so you're probably thinkin' big deal. Well... Get ready for an irreverent look at corporate America and advice on getting out of the corporate trap and working at home. I hope this newsletter amuses you, makes you mad (at the man), and motivates you to find the perfect work at home scenario. You won't believe how creative you get when you don't have the pressures of a job and a boss. You should spend your creative energies on your home business anyway, instead of fooling the boss like I did. I didn't fool the boss all day long, occasionally I would sleep in meetings or surf the internet. Actually, I really did enjoy the last job I had as a graphic artist and I learned some valuable skills as a result of my employment with the mother of all companies (the Bell system) for seven years. One of the best skills I learned was, no matter how ridiculous you think a new policy implementation is, just smile and agree with everything your boss says. Don't argue, pout or fuss, just smile and agree. Then at the end of the meeting or conference, take your new policy papers, put them through the paper shredder, and get back to business as usual. Work was a lot of fun, and quite amusing at times but building your home business is serious business. Let's take a look at some work at home options... What are they? There are a nearly limitless number of things you can do and ways to do those things to earn money from home. You can build a business not just a web site. You can sell information... preferably your information. You can become an affiliate for any number of online retailers or other businesses. You can start your own network marketing organization and market great products and a great opportunity. Of course you can always start you own traditional business and do your own ridiculous policy implementations. But then you might end up with an employee like me who just ignores them... Until next month, here's a creative idea from Timmy, a character we created when I worked for the mother of all companies.
You're going to see lots more of Timmy... To your success, Alan LeStourgeon |
